Mt. Leconte - Great Smokey Mountain NP

I took a solo backpacking trip to the Smokies in Gatlinburg this weekend. It was just an overnight trip to the top of Mt. Leconte. I started at an elevation of about 2,700 feet and hiked 6.8 miles along the Rainbow Falls trail to the top of Leconte at 6,593 feet for an average gain of about 11%.
A quick lunch at Rainbow Falls. It's been pretty dry this year, so not a whole lot of water.
The views of the valley below were great. Too bad there weren't any great ledges to get a better view.
The night before it got down to about 10 degrees and snowed a few inches at the top.
I stayed the night in a "shelter". This is the inside. I slept on the bottom against the wall. It's a reservation/permit camping spot only that sleeps 12. The fireplace doesn't work. Besides, fires aren't currently allowed in the park anyway due to the recent dry weather. There was a group of 5 other hikers that stayed in the shelter that night too. Speaking of hanging out with 5 strangers for the night...Is it inappropriate that I farted no fewer than 50-60 times while shacked up with them? Loudly???
This is the shelter from the outside. The tarp over the front makes it quite homelike.
A few shots of my walk down in the morning. I didn't see any bear, but I did pass some footprints on the way out my shelter in the morning. They were over by the hike-in lodge.

Nothing too exciting, but I had a good time. It took me 4:20 (no coincidence) to get up the mountain and 3:00 to get down.
