HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDE!!!

Jude Patrick Koehler
was born 6 weeks and 1 day early yesterday, May 31st, at 12:28pm.
It was a normal weekend. We had Maggie & Alexa (Jen & Tim's kids) over for a sleep over.
We went to the pool on Saturday. Trish didn't do much. Just hung out.
Had some pizza for dinner. No big deal.
Woke up Sunday and had breakfast. It was all downhill from there!
At about 10:00, Trish told me she was having stomach pains.
I called Jen to come pick up the kids, just in case.
She got the kids and we went to the hospital in no time.
Trish was getting tested before 11:00.
It didn't take too long to determine that Jude wasn't going to wait.

They had her prepped and in the operating room ready to begin the C-section at 12:04.
24 minutes later and Jude was here.
1:04 and it was all done.

His lungs aren't doing so well on there own.
He's breathing on his own, but not bringing enough oxygen.


They couldn't keep him at Bethesda North, so they transferred him to Good Sam for further treatment. They put a breathing tube in him and took off all the head gear.

Good Sam is a quiet place. Much more peaceful. He has a window too!

And, lots of space just for him. I'll give an update tomorrow...
